Bio:
Kyungin Kim, Ed.M. is a graduate student researcher striving to conduct culturally grounded, asset-based research using interdisciplinary knowledge in International Political Economy, Education (Prevention Science and Practice), and Interpersonal and Health Communication. Her research interests include 1) structural barriers and stressors arising from migration and displacement and 2) promotive factors that cultivate resilience and positive psychosocial outcomes among immigrant youth and families. She ultimately seeks to communicate her research outcomes to various bureaucratic organizations (e.g., government, schools, hospitals) to help advance equity in health and education for immigrant populations.
